The goal of the Internship Training Programme is to provide interns with an opportunity to gain first hand experience of the opportunities and challenges facing developing countries in the field of economic development. Over the period of the internship, interns will be trained in Imani’s operations as an economic and development consultancy firm. Interns will be directly involved in the following tasks:
This is a full-time programme. Interns will spend 5 days a week working at one of our Imani Development offices working on projects under the supervision of a professional member of staff. If you are interested in getting exposure to different countries in Africa, Imani offers a split internship for interns staying with Imani for a year. A split internship offers you the chance to work in two different Imani offices, each for a six month period. A split internship allows you to develop a firm understanding of how consultancy firms in the development field operate as well as giving you the opportunity to work in the field on actual assignments. The company will give you an allowance sufficient to cover cost of food and lodging. You will be responsible for the cost of the air fare to and from the office where you will be based.
