Imani Development started life in 1982 in Zimbabwe to assist in the process of economic growth and development in developing countries, particularly in Eastern and Southern Africa. In the 1990s we spread to other parts of Africa, establishing further group companies in Malawi, Mauritius, South Africa and Swaziland, and subsequently opened offices in East Africa in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. From our origins in Africa, we expanded to Australia and the United Kingdom in 2003 to further our work in other parts of the world. Our Group head office is located in Cape Town, South Africa. We are a group of private, employee-owned consultancy firms, offering a range of services directed towards policy makers as well as the industrial, agricultural and commercial sectors and development agencies.
