Imani Development was initially established in 1982 in Zimbabwe as a development consultancy firm to assist in the process of economic growth and poverty reduction, particularly in Eastern and Southern Africa. We subsequently opened further offices in this region in the 1990s in Malawi, Mauritius and South Africa, and in the following decade in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. In 2003 we branched further out by establishing offices in Australia to service the Asia-Pacific region and in the UK to manage our work in Europe.
